Publisher accounts run on subscription plans that control how many sites and placements you can create. Plans are billed monthly and can be changed at any time.
Overview
Publisher subscription plans are billed monthly via Stripe. There is no annual commitment — you can upgrade or downgrade at any time and the change takes effect immediately.
Plans are per-account and govern resources created under that account: sites (domains) and placements (ad slot rules). Ad revenue is always paid out at 70% of the winning CPM, regardless of plan tier.

Limits are enforced at the API level. If you attempt to create a site or placement that would exceed your plan's limit, the API returns a 403 with an upgrade message. Existing sites and placements are not affected when you downgrade — they remain active, but you cannot create new ones until you are within your new plan's limits.
Upgrading
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Billing and click Upgrade next to the plan you want. You'll be taken to a Stripe Checkout page. After payment:
Your plan is updated immediately
New limits take effect immediately
Proration is handled by Stripe — you are charged for the remainder of the billing period at the new rate
Downgrading
You can downgrade at any time via the Stripe Billing Portal (accessible from Settings → Manage billing). Downgrade changes take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Downgrading with excess resources
If you have more sites or placements than the lower plan allows, existing resources are preserved but creating new ones is blocked until you are within the new plan's limits. We do not automatically delete resources when you downgrade.
